2014 Missions Focus



We are continuing collecting food for Good News Mission during October. There is a great need for non-perishable food, especially with Thanksgiving coming up. Any canned/boxed/bagged food is appreciated, but this is a list of the most needed. There is a tub underneath the Missions table for donations. Thanks for your generous donations of food during the month of October. 


Twin Lakes Camp

Twin Lakes Camp & conference Center, located in Hillsboro, Indiana, is a Christian camp that has served churches for over 60 years. The camp is located on 210 acres of scenic property, including forests & 2 private lakes. Twin Lakes offers 1 week summer camp for students in 3rd grade through 12th grade. It is open year round & also offers family camp, teen & elementary winter camp, outdoor education & a retreat center for church groups of all ages. Students from FRBC in grades 3-5 attend Twin Lakes for a week of summer camp. 


Annual FRBC support: $2000   



Shepherd Community Center(Area Youth Ministries)

 -Works with neighborhood youth and their families to "break the cycle of poverty on the near Eastside of Indianapolis by engaging and empowering the community to cultivate healthy children, strong families and vibrant neighborhoods through a Christ-centered approach that meets the spiritual, physical, emotional, and academic needs of our neighbors."  



-The center is always looking for volunteers who are the life-blood of the organization.   



-Needs: laundry detergent, toothpaste and toothbrushes, food, toilet paper, incidentals, etc.

Annual support from FRBC: $1000 



Life Centers is a pregnancy resource center based in Indianapolis, whose mission is to affirm the value of life by providing a network of care to those experiencing pregnancy-related crisis & by compassionately presenting biblical truth resulting in changed lives to the glory of God.  There are 8 Pregnancy Centers in the city where staff & volunteers provide confidential free services including pregnancy tests, ultra-sound exams, peer counseling, 24 hour help line, support services (such as diapers, bottles, maternity & baby clothing, etc.) & post abortion support groups.
Annual support from FRBC:  $4000.

September Mission Focus: 1) Will be a food drive for Good News Ministries.  Donations of any non-perishable items would be appreciated, as Thanksgiving is approaching quickly.

August Mission Focus: 1) School supplies for Hawthorne Elementary. The supply list is on the Mission’s table.
2) Support a child attending Awana.  Forms and information are on the Mission’s table.

Ryan and Joy Owen (with Ezra and Titus)

·First, pray as we say good-bye to friends and family that we will continue to focus on the eternal.
·Second, pray for His peace to guard our hearts and minds while we transition.
·Thirdly, would you specifically pray that our boys will be able to sleep during the all night flight to Ghana.
·Strength, physically and spiritually.  Health for the days ahead, and witnessing opportunities.   

 Jerry and Karen Frost
·Jerry and Karen are currently living in South Carolina after retiring from HCJB Global. They were working on the mission fields as an engineer and a nurse.
·The Frosts last visited Franklin Road in the Fall of 2004
·After retiring, their personal and ministry goals are to “live pleasing to the Lord and look for  opportunities to share Jesus with others.” In their 80’s, Jerry has been in six weddings in the past two years of young men he has mentored since they were in middle school! A great reminder that no matter what our age, God still has work for us to do in the lives of others as we listen to the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER: To finish strong in this earthly life! Karen experiences frequent pain and requires a lot of help getting around. 

Solomon & Ruby Kendagor
· Currently serving in St. Louis, Missouri with ISI (International Students, Inc)
·  They have served with ISI for 29 years ·Annual support from FRBC: $1200 
·Just returned from Kenya where we trained 60 elected government leaders & over 2000 other leaders
·Praise God for providing for the trip, protecting us throughout our travel, and for opening doors of ministry for us.
·We recorded messages that aired weekly on SAYARE TV for a whole month. Also we recorded a message and testimony for KASSFM Radio, Nairobi. Both have opened doors for us to continue sending
messages that they can air.  
·We engaged over 1100 young people on making good choices in life, aspiring and pursuing leadership as a godly vocation. Some testified that the message was life changing. 
·Praise God for providing for the trip, protecting us throughout our travel, and for opening doors of ministry for us.
·Pray for wisdom as we focus on local ministry and to mentor and disciple others who will return to countries across the world as servant leaders of God.
·For wisdom and balancing our time with ministry while continuing to bring our support to 100%..(currently at 75%) 

John and Mary Jauchen
·Serving with Help for Christian Nationals, Inc. as President. Their role is to equip and train pastors and Christian workers in Latin America and Asia. During 3-day seminars, workers are provided with a Thompson Chain Reference Study Bible and trained how to use it to prepare Bible-based messages.
·Annual support from FRBC: $1300
Praise: In 2013, 9,700 Christian workers were trained. Both have consistently spent daily time in prayer, daily time in Bible study, and have maintained physically
healthy lifestyles.
Prayer : Finances for purchases of Bibles, wisdom in providing solid Master Teachers and local coordinators, God’s protection of John in extensive international travel, being able to trust God when ministry challenges are faced, and that they would daily be reminded of God’s love and faithful
to share that love with others. 

 David and Karen James
     *Serving in Terre Haute, Indiana with The Alliance For Biblical Integrity (ABI).
     *ABI is an apologetics and discernment ministry which focuses on Biblical/Theological issues
       which negatively affect the conservative evangelical church, but also the Body of Christ in
     *Annual Support is $7500. Plus $1000 in January to cover travel expenses.
     *Work involves extensive research and writing, teaching and speaking nationally and
        internationally in Bible institutes, seminaries, churches and conferences.
     *New Partnership with Friends of Israel & Israel My Glory.
     *”Dave James Report” on Prophecy Today Weekly Radio with Jimmy DeYoung.
     *Many scheduled ministry trips, need prayer for safety and finances.
     *Currently writing 2 books.
     *Still short on support by approximately $1500 per month.
     *News Junkies needed to help with ABI website.
